In a hole in the ground...

"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort."

The other day a friend had a birthday party, so of course we went to the midnight premier of the Hobbit. The movie was fantastic. All of the critics who didn't like it and compared it to the Phantom Menace either A. have never read anything by Tolkien, or B. are part of the snobbish elite or any combination thereof. After the movie (which was wonderful) we went to Denny's which has a special Hobbit menu. Unfortunately it was 4:00 in the morning and I was not hungry at all. I was sad about this, however, so my sister and I made a point on Monday to see the movie again (still wonderful) and go to Denny's after. I will take this moment to say that I did all the driving without any help and I am very proud of that fact because they changed to road and it was hard to figure out where to turn. The Hobbit food was delicious. It is pretty much what I imagined Hobbits eating.

I got the 'Hobbit Hole Breakfast':  which was pretty amazing, It's fried eggs in cheddar buns with bacon and bacon and cheddar hasbrowns. I thought it was delicious. They have other really good things too.

 Frodo's  Pot Roast Skillet

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Shire Sausage Skillet

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Radagast's Red Velvet Pancake Puppies (I feel like these looked better in real life)

Anyways, the food was really good, but I must admit, that was not my favorite part. My favorite part was the Hobbit trading cards I got after each meal!

So now, basically, this has made me very very hungry. It make for a really fun day though. My sister and I had a lot of fun going to see the movie and then talking over delicious Hobbit themed food.

Ok children, here are some ground rules. Keep all posts clean and polite. Flamers and Trollers (unless they are legitimately funny) will be hunted down and destroyed. You are allowed to have, and express, your own opinion but make sure to keep it respectful or else I shall get very cross :).
