About Me

Godwotteryan affected quality of archaism, excessive fussiness, and sentimentality.
Shenaniganssecret or dishonest activity or maneuvering:
                                   silly or high-spirited behavior; mischief.

Those two words pretty much sum up my existence. I like to believe that I'm capable of creating mischief and general mauradering, but really I'm just an old fashioned stickler for rules who lives vicariously through books. I love to read and have from an early age. I'm also really good at binge-watching several years of television in a couple of weeks.

Right now I'm currently working on getting my bachelor's at the fine institution of Houston Baptist University where I'm a Philosophy and English double major. I plan on doing something with Grad school somewhere. I ultimately want to get involved with an apologetic ministry. Probably.

I also paint and engage in a sundry of  intense, but ultimately short-lived, hobbies (including but not limited to cross-stitch, jewelry making, entrepreneurship, etc.). I'm obsessed with comic books, Batman being my favorite. I also love Manga and stories about friendship and adventure. I love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. My mom and I love old movies and anything with Howard Keel is a winner in my book. I'm not a hipster and I'm not super crafty. I don't know about anything before it became popular. I'm an INTP and feel most comfortable talking to new people if I'm assaulting them with trivial information that I keep stored in an emergency panic room in the back of my brain.

I like to think that  I'm cooler than I am and that I'd do things that I'd never do. If you're one of the few people I count as a friend I'll stick by you forever, no matter what (even if I don't keep in touch). I hate technology, mostly because it advances faster than I'm able to cope with. I still use the U.S. Postal System and am afraid of spiders. I love the sight of beautiful books and dream of living in a big Victorian style house with a wrap-around porch, a library, and a turret. I hate modern aesthetics and think that the 13th century was probably the best.

Most importantly I'm a follower of Christ. I'm not perfect. I have good days, bad days, and worse days. I don't read my Bible as often as I should, but when I do I love studying it. I love God with all my heart and want to serve Him with my life, even if I don't know how that will play out yet. I'm still growing in my faith and still have a long way to go, but I look back and am so thankful to see how far I've come.
